Technical Support
Practical help for scanning, organizing, OCR, exporting, and the paid-download edition of Scanora PDF Scanner.
Scan and import
- Use Scanner for camera capture, then crop, filter, rotate, delete, or reorder pages.
- Use Photos or Files to choose imports through Apple’s system picker.
- For a camera issue, confirm camera permission in Settings, close other camera apps, and try again in good light.
Unfinished scans
Scanora automatically backs up the current scan on this device. After an interruption, choose Resume scan on the home screen to restore its pages and editing settings. Saving the document or confirming Discard scan clears the draft. Drafts do not synchronize to other devices and are removed when the app is deleted. If automatic backup fails, keep the scan open and save it before leaving.
OCR and page organization
On-device OCR, recognized-text viewing and copying, searchable PDF export, page organization, and full-text library search are included. If a page image is missing, import the original document again. PDF import currently creates image-based pages; recognize text again to create a searchable PDF. Word and Excel conversion are not included.
Export
PDF and image exports are included with no automatic Scanora footer. You can add your own watermark using the editor. A new export does not remove branding that is already part of an imported page.
Editing and security
Text, pen, highlighter, shapes, signatures, stamps, custom watermarks, PDF utilities, password protection, and irreversible redaction are all included with the app purchase.
App purchase and reinstallation
All features are available after installation. There is no subscription or additional in-app purchase to restore. Use the Apple Account associated with the app purchase to download the app again from the App Store. Keep backups or enable optional iCloud sync for documents you want to recover after reinstalling. Apple handles billing and refund requests.
iCloud synchronization and recovery
Document-library sync includes collection and tag definitions. Enable document sync in Settings, with separate consent for signatures and stamps. Use the current app version on both devices to synchronize new collection and tag changes. Concurrent changes to different collections are combined; simultaneous renames of the same collection resolve consistently on all devices. Check that iCloud Drive is enabled, your Apple account is available, and storage and connectivity are sufficient. Read-only recovery downloads cloud documents without uploading edits or propagating deletions; recovery exports have no automatic branding. Collection and tag definitions are restored through normal document-library sync.
App Lock
Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode can protect the private vault. Private folders are included with the app purchase. Authentication is still required to access locked documents.
What to include in a support request
- Scanora version and iOS version.
- Device model and the operation you were performing.
- Exact error text and whether the issue repeats after relaunch.
- For iCloud issues, whether iCloud Drive is enabled and whether the document is local or recovery-only.
Do not send confidential document pages or OCR text unless support specifically asks and you have removed sensitive information. Contact chen1009799736@foxmail.com.
